The start of the fall is here, and the Ultimate Toy Fair at the G.R. Pearkes Rec Centre by tillicum provides a nice atmosphere to escape the cloudy outdoors. The event is put on yearly by Cherry Bomb toys.
There is plenty to see at the event ! I did a few laps and still kept finding new things to see. Collectors bring their vintage toys, and crafters bring their creations (3d prints, Stickers, Buttons, Jewelerry) You can opt to get a 2 day pass or to just go in for the day for $5 !
If you’re into pop culture, you’ll love this event as there are many classics to be found, almost every fandom is represented : Harry Potter, Pokemon, Transformers, you name it ! And, there are very good deals / discounts on collectibles.
There was also a photoshoot by donation with StarWars Characters (Chewbacca, The Mandalorian) , with the funds going to a local charity.

Bring : Some cash as the entrance is easier this way, Point of Sale seems to not be the main way to charge atendees. A bag for the collectibles you buy. Your kindness/patience, as there will be many people, but don’t worry ! You’ll surely get your turn to look at everthing. An umbrella in case it is rainy out (this year, the event happened at the start of Fall)
Food : The event featured Empire Donuts, and a lemonade stand. There are the food choices within Tillicum (Starbucks, Saigon Palace, etc)
