JUL 9TH
During the pride month here in Victoria, the streets were filled with colorful displays and high community energy.
The day kicked off with a parade featuring Pride – decorated trucks (starting near the hudson public market on Douglas, and then finished at MacDonald park in JamesBay). This was followed by a festival in the park organized by victoria pride society. Access to this event was free.
It’s important to remember this day the road will be closed on Douglas for the parade ! I arrived on my e-scooter. Plan your route accordingly (buses will probably be detoured to avoid Douglas St), or if your location allows, just walk !
